Spicy Southwest Turkey Burger
Can be made as mini burgers or full burgers. I like to pair it with steamed broccoli and homemade french fries. Chipotle Mayo recipe included, or you can replace that with Sriracha Mayo.

- 1 lb ground turkey
- ⅓ cup red onion, minced
- 1 full jalapeño pepper, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 ½ tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp veg oil, for cooking
- bun, brioche for full, Hawaiian rolls for mini
- shredded lettuce
- sliced tomato
- pepper jack cheese
- avocado
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp canned chillis in adobo
- ½ lime, juiced
In a large bowl mix together turkey, onion, jalapeño and spices together evenly
Shape the patties into preferred size. Wet your hands before to stop from sticking
Heat up about 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat
Cook burgers for around 2 minutes of the first side then flip, lower heat to low and cook them for additional 5-6 minutes or until fully cooked
While burgers cook mix the mayonnaise, canned chilis and limes to make a chipotle mayo if wanted
Top the burgers with pepper jack cheese during the last minute
Assemble burgers as desired toppings
