My First Rose Bath
Anyone that knows me knows how much I love my baths. I always change it up with different bath salts, bubble bath soap, really anything I can get my hands on. Well normally when my flowers start to shrivel I hang them upside to dry and use as decorations for my room. Although I do love the way it looks, as my roses started to droop my mom gave me the idea to take a rose bath.
I had read online how good it is for your skin and obviously always see people taking them on social media so I figured I would give it a shot.
I started my bath at a warm temperature, everyone should do whatever suits them. I would recommend avoiding it getting too hot because that can dehydrate your skin. Then pluck the petals from the bouquet of roses. (Organic is best so pesticides don’t irritate your skin) Then when the tub is around halfway full, drop the petals under the running water. This will let the stream of water disperse them while also infusing the bath with all of the roses’ soothing properties. I added a little lavender under the running water to elevate the experience but I have also read that you can add coconut milk as well. They say coconut milk softens your skin and lavender deepens your relaxation.
All that is left is to slip in and enjoy! Trust me when I say this was one of the best baths I have taken. I was in there for around 20 minutes and was sure to moisturized afterward to keep skin soft. I highly recommend trying it out for yourself!
